Mission
1. To be a voice promoting volunteering in the NHS
- Development of the Time For Health Partnership’s viewpoints and positions on the range of volunteering issues in the NHS
- Promoting volunteering success stories based on the outcomes from other strategies undertaken by the Time For Health Partnership
- Developing the membership of the partnership.
2. To raise the quality of volunteering in the NHS
- Establishing the current level of volunteering service provision and developing the range of opportunities available
- Enhancing the quality of volunteering in the provision of current services through training and support for those managing volunteers
- Creating toolkits to assist with developing innovative volunteering initiatives.
3. To enhance the quality of the volunteering experience in the NHS
- Undertaking research to identify current barriers to volunteering in the NHS, including exploring the nature of cultural resistance to diversifying the volunteering base
- Developing ways of overcoming barriers to volunteering in the NHS and reducing cultural resistance to diversifying the volunteering base.
Objectives
- To have a positive impact on local Trusts, Department of Health and Government volunteering policy
- To increase the number of volunteers in the NHS
- To increase the diversity of volunteers in the NHS
- To increase the quality of volunteering in the NHS.
